Why my laptop task manager show 1 of 1 ram slot used but i have 2

1 Because that's the way the slots are wired 1 & 3 on one channel, 2 & 4 on the other channel

I take that to mean that 4 x 2GB is recommended In other words, keep the existing sticks in there, and insert in 2 more new ones, each of 2GB However, even if you have 4 slots, installing 4 memory sticks does not necessarily mean better performance Also, an additional memory channel

ice cave slot If you look at your RAM slots in the motherboard they are usually numbered 1-4 from the CPU outwards with the slot closest to the CPU being so my task manager said 1 of 2 ram slots used, when i hover it saidslot 1: emptyslot 2: 4,0GB, 1600mhzbut it show 8gb of ram just finemy
